As fossil fuel sources are finite, increasing the efficiency of renewable energy sources is desirable. Solar cells were originally composed of crystalline silicon, but cost-effective solar materials based on nanomaterials are helping a breakthrough in solar cell technologies. Nanosheets are replacing existing materials with innovative 2D nanosheets featuring high electrical conductivity and high aspect ratios.
